KNP hopes Prinect will pave the way for a web-to-print portal in January 2019

KNP Litho has invested in Prinect workflow and Tharstern MIS upgrades which it hopes will give it a 10-15% improvement in productivity and pave the way for a web-to-print portal to be released in January 2019.

The company found the Prinect workflow more user friendly and believes upgrading from a 2011 package to the latest Prinect Production Manager is the right way forward with the on-demand print sectors that it works with.

‘We can seamlessly integrate Prinect with the latest Tharstern MIS modules and we will be able to quickly and easily output to both our Speedmaster SM 74 and our Xerox iGen presses,’ said Steve Omer, production manager. ‘The increase in productivity this will give us means our customers will benefit from quicker turnrounds immediately and when we implement the web portal, either at the end of this year or the beginning of next, customers will receive proofs quickly and accurately and be able to amend and return them easily. We will also offer templates to those wanting to load jobs online.’
