Koenig & Bauer has acquired 80% of Duran Machinery, with the folder-gluer manufacturer being integrated into the wider group under the name Koenig & Bauer Duran.
The acquisition means the German press manufacturer will further expand its activities in the growing packaging market, and can now offer a complete production line for folding boxes.

We are now further expanding our worldwide presence as the printing press and die cutter manufacturer with the broadest product portfolio.’
Duran, based in Istanbul, has more than 30 years of experience in designing and manufacturing folder-gluers in various formats and configurations. The company’s machines are used by manufacturers of cardboard and corrugated board packaging in more than 65 countries. Operations will continue to be based in Turkey, with the existing management fully on board.
