Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS) enjoyed a 25% increase in sales during 2018, rising to in excess of £10 million.
These positive figures are the result of printers seeking to expand their portfolio of services and improve their end to end operation with highly automated and cost-effective systems.
IFS managing director Bryan Godwyn explained, ‘In the past 12 months we have sold over 190 Horizon finishing solutions – up from around 140 last year, which is an incredible growth considering the uncertain times we are in. It shows that our ambitious customers are focused on delivering high quality results and committed to expanding the value-added services they can provide cost effectively in house.’
To keep this momentum going into 2019 IFS will be focusing more and more on the expanding digital print market. The company anticipates closer collaboration with vendors such as HP and Canon, whilst also working in partnership with customers ‘to understand their individual business pressures and identify the most appropriate ways to help them thrive.’
Mr Godwyn continued, ‘We will continue to see print runs become far more complicated, requiring them to have verification or a bar code systems and of course full automation to assure all the elements are completed accurately – supported by the service people have come to expect from Horizon and IFS. We will also see continued interest in solutions that provide value-added services for both digital and litho print, in house. This supports operations as they expand applications and keep costs and turnaround times to a minimum.’
