Kernowprint Metalik silver media has become the first Kernow substrate certified by Color-Logic for use with its software and the Xerox Iridesse press.
‘The Iridesse press with White Dry Ink consistently produces impressive images on Kernow Metalik silver media,’ said Color-Logic director of sales and marketing Mark Geeves. ‘The entire range of Color-Logic decorative effects, in addition to the 250 standard Color-Logic metallic colours, offer Iridesse users the ability to develop new markets and applications for their customers.’
‘In today’s ultra-competitive print market, time-to-market is critical,’ added Richard Ainge, chief technology officer at Color-Logic. ‘Color-Logic tools can speed prepress throughput incredibly. Using Color-Logic, graphic designers no longer need to manually create white ink masks and can confidently create metallic special effects that heretofore required countless hours and often endless trial and error. And with the Color-Logic FX-Viewer, designers no longer need valuable press time to verify their work before going to production.’
Color-Logic develops colour communication technology and software tools for a variety of special effect printing applications, including those which employ metallic substrates and/or inks and toners. It adds capabilities to support special metallic colours to popular design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and to preview the effects on-screen, insofar as metallic colours can be shown that way.
