Senfa showcased its green credentials at Fespa 2019, unveiling products that are manufactured using 100% recycled polyester textile materials.
Altimis is a printable textile which offers an alternative to PVC substrates and is intended to meet the environmental demands of international brands and advertisers.
The fabric is woven using 100% recycled fibres and is suited for lightbox applications. In addition to UV printing, it can also be printed with dye sublimation transfer papers and a heat press.
The French company also highlighted Sublimis, its versatile media for transfer and direct sublimation printing for water-based and UV-curable ink. This product range is aimed at print businesses that use dye sublimation technology and also UV technology for backlit graphics applications.
‘Previously, sublimation printing onto coated media for backlit applications led to problems due to a phenomenon known as ink migration,’ explained sales director Blaise Humphries. ‘With Sublimis, ink migration is a thing of the past and printers using sublimation technology can now aspire to hitting the very best possible white point and delivering the punchy colours that only coated media can provide.’
