Inkcups has introduced the X360, its high-speed rotary inkjet printer, to the European market, a year after it began operating in the United States.
The X360 is the latest addition to the American company’s direct-to-cylinder product line. Capable of printing on tapered and straight-walled cylinders, the machine features specialised tooling for tilting conical parts to print round all 360 degrees. Ideal applications include metal and plastic sports bottles, candle holders, glassware, stainless steel tumblers and industrial parts such as oil filters.
The press delivers on-demand, full-colour printing on cylindrical parts up to 305mm tall, with a diameter of 40–120mm. It prints CMYK plus two highly opaque UV LED-curable white inks, has a maximum image resolution of 900dpi and a four-pass print mode.
This is Inkcups’ second European release in recent weeks, after the company showcased the X5 UV flatbed digital printer at Fespa in May.
