Loughborough University’s Alison Freer has been appointed Chair of the Association of Creative and Print Managers in Education (ACPME), a network of creative and print mangers in further and higher education.

Representing more than 75 UK educational institutions, ACPME has ties with market suppliers and commercial printers whose services are used to complement in-house capabilities. Ms Freer, who is head of Creative and Print Services at Loughborough University, has for the last five years been the organisation’s secretary and will now be its external ‘face’.

She commented, ‘Over the last few years ACPME has gone from strength to strength, and it’s a very exciting time to be moving into this position. I am looking forward to building on the existing foundations and evolving its relevance to current members, future members and suppliers.

‘Our Board are all volunteers and we work hard to ensure that ACPME continues to remain relevant and of value to our membership, and to engage the interest of strategic partners and suppliers. Our membership has a reputation for being welcoming, friendly and professional and it’s no coincidence that our suppliers see our conference as one of the ‘must attend’ events in the calendar.’
