Epson is preparing to offer its first fluorescent ink dye-sublimation textile printers with two new models to be available from January 2020.
The SureColor SC-F9400 and SC-F9400H are 1.62m printers that have been developed for fast, high-volume printing of clothing, textiles and soft signage, as well as other printed merchandise.
The SC-F9400 is an evolution of existing Epson print technology and aims to provide enhanced quality and greater productivity and reliability. The SC-F9400H then offers the option of printing with two florescent inks – yellow and pink – allowing users to bring bright, vivid colours to the production of sportswear, workwear and fashion items.
‘Once again, our focus has been on the further development of the range, and the introduction of a genuine fluorescent solution that adds new value,’ said Neil Greenlagh, product manager, Epson Europe. ‘This is a first for us and we believe that we’ve made fluorescent inks that are superior in terms of brightness and colour density. But it’s not all about the fluorescent ink options, we’ve also introduced a wider choice of EMX files, an instructional/maintenance video and a host of other features that make set-up, usage and maintenance as simple as possible. We’re sure that the SC-F9400 range will have a positive effect on the bottom line of many businesses.’
