DXG Media has installed a Polar 115 Pro guillotine, just seven days after ordering it.
The litho and digital plant, based in Cheshire, got the machine so swiftly after purchasing Heidelberg’s showroom machine.
‘We needed to speed up production in that area and so started to look at our options,’ said works director Brendan Tierney. ‘There is no such thing as an unimportant piece of kit in this building. It’s no use having top quality printing if the finishing doesn’t match. Repro, print and finishing are equally important to us and the results are awesome.
‘The operating screen on this new guillotine is so big you could watch a football match on it! But seriously, the operating system on the Polar is so user friendly, our operators required little training. The company will also benefit from the programmability and easy Optiknife knife changing system.’
