The guest speaker at this year’s Printing Charity Annual Luncheon is Sir Peter Bazalgette, non-executive chair of ITV and chair of online retailer LoveCrafts.
Prominent in the media and creative arts, Sir Peter led an independent review into the UK’s creative industries as part of the government’s industrial strategy. He is a non-executive board member of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and serves on the Advisory Boards of BBH and YouGov.
From 2013 – 17 he was chair of Arts Council England. He was also a non-executive director of DCMS, YouGov, president of the Royal Television Society, and chief creative officer of Endemol where he devised several internationally successful formats such as Ready Steady Cook and Changing Rooms. He is also the author of Billion Dollar Game (2005) and The Empathy Instinct (2017).
Neil Lovell, The Printing Charity’s chief executive, commented, ‘Sir Peter is incredibly engaging and we are looking forward to hearing his highlights from a stellar career in television, the creative arts, and as an author. He knows all too well how sectors need to adapt to change so I think we will gain some great insights, too.’
The Printing Charity’s 192nd annual luncheon takes place at Stationers’ Hall, London, on 14 November. Tickets are available from the charity.
