Ricoh has announced that it is enhancing the paper feed and output options for its Pro C9200 and Pro C7200 Series.
From November 2019 the heavy and mid–production digital colour sheetfed presses will feature eight new paper feed and paper output options, along with EFI Fiery print servers.
The new options include coated paper, heavyweight media covers and the insertion of slip sheets. There are also improved binding options, including saddle stitching for long sheet media and SquareFold finishing which will allow users to produce applications that are becoming more popular, including A4 landscape booklets, manuals and saddle stitched catalogues.
The EFI Fiery servers, E-86 for the Pro C9200 and E-86A for the Pro C7200, use the latest Fiery NX Premium hardware and provide a 50% performance improvement compared to their predecessors. For the Pro C7200x five-colour models, the E-86A and E-46A print servers include a new fifth colour calibration feature.
‘Competition is intensifying in the world of print production. To differentiate and open up pathways to new business, forward thinking print service providers are equipping themselves to satisfy the growing demand for high added value printed materials,’ said Eef de Ridder, vice president, commercial and industrial printing group, Ricoh Europe. ‘By expanding the range of finishing options available on our high end sheetfed presses, we are responding to these needs and also supporting our clients’ drive for increased productivity.’
