John Mark has taken delivery of its fifth HP Latex 1500 3.2m printer, seven years after first investing in the range.
The company, which employs 11 staff, offers bespoke wallpaper printing services from its premises in Leyland, Lancashire.
Following a recommendation from a colleague, managing director John Mark Watson first explored the HP Latex range at Sign and Digital UK in 2012. Since the company’s initial investment four more HP Latex 1500s have been installed in Leyland, the most recent delivered in late October by Papergraphics.
‘The HP Latex printers make it possible to print panels, rather than standard wallpaper lengths,’ Mr Watson said. ‘This creates a story, a conversation, which is what people are looking for these days. I’ve had great support from my customers from the outset. Everyone has recognised the potential of digital print and that has led to more and more work.
‘People want to touch wall coverings, as well as having the visual element. Being able to print onto textured materials allows people to feel the design too.’
