Yorkshire-based commercial printer Post Haste has purchased a new DBM-600 bookletmaker and trimmer along with two DSC-10/60i intelligent collators from Duplo.
The company, which produces booklets and brochures for a broad range of sectors, returned an older Duplo System 5000 in part exchange for the equipment, which was installed in the middle of October.
‘We’ve been very happy with both Duplo and their equipment for years,’ said managing director Mark Crabtree. ‘The upgrade is timely and we went with this model specifically for the automation it offered. With the intelligent towers we can now combine the bin/trays for added production, the booklet maker is more flexible, and we can turn round jobs faster than ever before.’
The DBM-600 and collator tower system has a maximum output of 5200 books per hour and can handle sizes from 105 x 75mm to 350 x 254mm, and paper up to 300gsm.
