Agfa has unveiled its latest wide-format inkjet press, the Oberon RTR3300. A 3.3m roll-to-roll machine, the RTR3300 is available in four-colour plus white or six-colour versions.

The machine, which will be on display at Fespa in March, can print at speeds up to 85sqm/hr in ‘production mode’, rising to 150sqm/hr in ‘express mode’. The dual-roll option is capable of handling two rolls, each up to 1.6m wide.

The RTR3300 will use UV LED inks, optimised for flexible media and certified by Greenguard Gold as safe for use in sensitive indoor environments like schools or healthcare facilities.

‘When developing the Oberon, we once again focused on merging extreme productivity with extreme quality, in addition to delivering the lowest ink consumption levels and reduced overall operational costs,’ said head of sign and display Tom Vermeulen. ‘This new engine builds on decades of experience in developing and manufacturing versatile large-format printing solutions. Our unique systems approach integrates and optimises engine, ink, media, workflow and colour management to ensure the highest quality, consistency and reliability.’
