Kodak has announced new connectivity between its Prinergy workflow and Canon’s Prismasync print server, bringing users of the former a ‘quick, seamless and efficient ‘ way to set up, monitor and control print jobs on Canon digital presses.
From version 8.4, Prinergy Setup can receive print device properties from Prismasync Print Server (from v7.2) and import the Canon digital press’s media and substrate library. The Prinergy Job Ticket Editor allows users to define print parameters for different job types and save them for later (re)use. Prinergy Track can record all print jobs on the Prismasync Print Server for production monitoring and analysis purposes, and for queued jobs sent from Prinergy, most settings can be changed from there too.
‘Kodak’s goal is to provide customers access to the Prinergy automated production workflow for controlling all their print processes. This connectivity means that Canon production presses can now be efficiently controlled using our industry-leading Prinergy Workflow solution,’ commented Todd Bigger, president of Kodak’s Software Division.
