Wide-format RIP and design software developer SAi has announced the availability of SideKick, a job organisation tool intended to help signage specialists and other wide-format print houses to manage their production operations.
Covering the production process from quote creation to invoicing, SideKick is said to be simple to use and comes with a pre-loaded database of predefined products and finishing options, including average industry costs, in order to quickly configure job pricing allowing for labour, materials, commissions, discounts and sales taxes. It creates personalised PDF quotes ‘within minutes’.
Quotes can be converted into orders and tracked through production and ultimately exported for invoicing, and account contacts can be organised and managed. The software is available via monthly or annual subscriptions and functions independently of SAi’s Flexi sign-making and EnRoute CAD/CAM offerings, though subscription users of either are entitled to preferential pricing.
‘No one likes doing paperwork, but it’s necessary if you’re running a business. Our smaller customers, in particular, frequently tell us that administrative tasks are the least favourite and most time-consuming part of their jobs,’ commented SAi VP of marketing Annette Plummer.
