The Visual Media Conference has joined the ever growing list of industry events that has been rescheduled due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak.
The conference, which was to be focused on fake news, was scheduled to take place on Tuesday 7 April but has been moved to Tuesday 8 September 2020.
The organisers released a statement which read:
‘It is with regret that we need to announce the postponement of the Visual Media Conference 2020, which was due to take place at the Rose Bowl, Leeds on Tuesday 7 April 2020.
‘We have taken this precautionary measure after consulting with speakers, sponsors and attendees, and conducting a review of the developing situation of coronavirus in the UK and Europe, including the tightening of global and UK travel restrictions across many regions. The well-being of our attendees, speakers, colleagues, sponsors and local partners is our absolute priority.
‘We have moved the conference to Tuesday 8 September 2020, and will keep you updated should there be any more changes in the ongoing coronavirus situation.
‘VMC would like to offer thanks to everyone who had planned to join us, and look forward to seeing you in September.’
