David Hyams, the founder and managing director of Talking Print, is set to appear on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den at 9pm on 12 April.
A print veteran with 40 years of experience, Mr Hyams is looking for investment to drive growth for Talking Print’s personalised cards and book offering, Talkies.
Talkies enables consumers and businesses, along with printers, marketing and creative agencies, to create their own personalised audio cards and video books online, on demand.
‘It was a great experience, both exciting and nerve-racking, to appear in front of the famous Dragons,’ Mr Hyams said. ‘I love print and communicated its power in my pitch; how as a physical piece of communication it really can connect with those that receive it. I also focused on my business’ commitment to innovation in the print industry over many years, firstly linking it to the internet and now adding audio and video to drive personalisation.
‘It was brilliant to have the opportunity to raise the profile and value of the print sector, along with how it’s successfully innovating, to the Dragons.’
