Bobst is putting into practice a new industry vision which will see it interact with customers in more virtual ways, reduce its impact on the environment and cease its involvement with trade shows and exhibitions.
The company is looking to develop its existing Competence Centres to ‘provide all customers and prospects with new ways to access product and solution demonstrations.’ This transformation will lead into what Bobst is calling Smart Factories, which will demonstrate complete end-to-end solutions where customers will be able to touch and see everything required to produce a label, pouch or box.
The company has also said it is making the customer experience more virtual with live streaming demonstrations for all its equipment, ‘providing an engaging customer experience with less traveling constraints. ‘
It is also reducing its presence at industry tradeshows and thereby dramatically reducing its environmental impact. As a result Bobst has decided not to attend drupa and other industry tradeshows in 2021, while maintaining a limited participation in Asia.
