Onlineprinters has added a second HP Indigo 100K to its fleet. The German trade printer was the beta test site for HP’s new high volume liquid toner press and only confirmed the purchase of its first model in June.
It was the positive experience the company has had with that press which led to it purchasing a second Indigo 100K, which will be installed at the company’s Bavarian production site in August, replacing two HP Indigo 10000s.
‘The technology partnership with HP has absolutely paid off, both in terms of productivity and print quality,’ said Juergen Winkler, director operations at Onlineprinters. ‘We were able to thoroughly test the HP Indigo 100K even before the actual product launch – and every aspect of the machine convinced us. The machine has been in regular use under full load, so the decision to invest in another HP Indigo 100K makes complete sense.’
With its increased print volume of up to 6000 B2 sheets per hour and improved automatic handling of a wide range of weights without additional set-up times, the HP Indigo 100K ‘brings quality, improved cost-effectiveness and the possibility to shift more print jobs from offset to digital printing.’ Additionally, the automated colour calibration for the next print job during ongoing production helps print service providers increase efficiency.
‘The HP Indigo 100K gives us a long-term strategic competitive advantage, especially in regard to efficiently processing the increasing number of short runs,’ Mr Winkler finished.
