Global Graphics Software has licensed Fundamentals, its software and engineering services package, to Miyakoshi Printing Machinery so that the company can create a new software engine for its MJP20AXW high-speed, high-resolution digital press.
The new engine will be available in presses launched at the end of 2020 and the Japanese manufacturer intends to eventually adopt Global Graphics’ technology across all digital presses.
The Miyakoshi MJP20AXW is a four colour duplex press which operates at speeds up to 160m/min and print at resolutions up to 1200dpi. It will be driven by Fundamentals which bundles together Harlequin Direct, from the new Direct graphics pipeline announced by Global Graphics in April this year, with PACKZ and CLOUDFLOW from Global Graphics’ partner company, Hybrid Software.
The result is ‘a powerful pipeline that links together seamlessly all the processes in the print production workflow from job submission through to delivering data directly to the Miyakoshi print head electronics. ‘
Global Graphics’ Technical Services team is working alongside Miyakoshi engineers on the project.
