The Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Services at Broadmoor Hospital has installed a Morgana EvaBind Plus perfect binding system.
The facility, which is managed by West London NHS Trust, produces a variety of reports and documentation for the Trust. It also uses both print and finishing equipment to train patients as part of their rehabilitation and to give them skills that they can use outside of the hospital.
A recent increase in short run digitally printed material at the hospital fuelled the need for a quick, compact and easy-to-use perfect binding machine. The unit speeds up production of work that had been largely bound by hand, with stab stitches and binding tape.
Venus Kan, clinical lead occupational therapy and vocational services, and her staff were so delighted with the installation that she wrote a message to Martin Baggott, technical support at Morgana Systems.
‘I am writing to say thank you to your service and the delivery of the fantastic binder machine,’ the letter read.
‘Your service was faultless and we really appreciate the communications we had with you. Additionally, I would like to thank you for your help and support when we came across a minor technical problem. My staff have commented how patient you were with us and then you took into consideration our staff and patients’ needs prior to giving us advice.
‘Our patients and staff will now be able to provide a better printing service to our Trust.’
