Pureprint Group has installed the UK’s first HP Indigo 100K digital press. This follows recent European installations at Onlineprinters, Saxoprint and Wihabo.
Established in 1926, Pureprint Group is a family-owned business which has been using HP print technology since acquiring its first HP Indigo digital presses in 2008.
The company opted for the Indigo 100K as part of a move to future proof itself. With new market opportunities seeing growth in product lines which require vibrant colour across a range of substrates, Pureprint felt the HP technology would allow it to meet high volume demand without compromising quality.
‘As long standing partners with HP the installation of their newest press, the HP Indigo 100K was a logical next step for us,’ said Pureprint CEO Mark Handford. ‘The new press allows us to offer quicker speed to market, which our customer base require in the competitive environment they operate. While we see the huge growth in demand for e-commerce personalised products we needed the equipment to fulfil this requirement, with the high quality in colour and materials that the HP Indigos provide.’
For high volume production environments the Indigo 100K is intended to support continuous operation. It is driven by Cloud-based software intended to allow one operator to run two presses, each capable of 100,000 B2 impressions per shift and a total of 12 million B2 duplex sheets a year.
