Solopress has introduced a range of environmentally-friendly print products called Solopress Green.
The Southend-based company said its new range offers ‘a choice of high-quality products, printed on recycled paper stocks.’ Specific products include business cards, flyers, leaflets, postcards, greetings cards and stickers.
‘Solopress is already committed to sustainable print production, with a proud history of responsible procurement,’ said managing director Simon Cooper. ‘Recycled stocks have long been part of our offering, and Solopress was one of the first UK printers to adopt environmentally-friendly vegetable-based inks. This new range, however, with its focus on carbon offsetting, goes even further to minimise our impact on the planet and to allow Solopress customers to do the same.’
The range uses paper stocks certified by the FSC, ensuring that all the material that goes into the paper stocks is either recycled or comes from sustainable woodland sources.
In addition, the company said it has been working with international environmental consultant ClimatePartner to make sure that the production and printing processes that go into the Solopress Green range are carbon neutral. Emissions resulting from manufacture and print are calculated and an equivalent contribution is made to projects in both Europe and the Amazon that reduce carbon pollution.
