The Encore Group, the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of printed envelopes, has appointed David Cooper as its new managing director.
Mr Cooper, who previously served as group production director, will replace Russell Croisdale who steps down having been in the role since 2007. Mr Croisdale, who will continue to hold a non-executive director role with the firm, has spent more than 40 years in the industry. Group finance director Mike Williamson is also stepping down at the same time.
Mr Cooper, who has been with the company for over 25 years and a director since 2003, commented, ‘This succession plan has been years in the making but it is still difficult when the time comes for members of the board to step down and retire. However the board and I are looking forward to the challenge and developing the company further.’
The Encore Group comprises Encore Envelopes and Encore Packaging Solutions, and supplies its range of services from sites in Peterlee, Washington and Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
