Magenta-Vision has added two new flatbeds and one roll-fed wide format printer to the Chinese-made Teckwin range of UV-LED curing printers, covering rigid formats up to 3 x 2m and 3.2m rolls and using Magenta-Vision inks produced by Polish ink specialist Chespa.
Joining the existing 5 and 3.2m Teckwin Shark roll-fed printers is the Sword-Fish TS 3200, which increases productivity and colour gamut. Using up to six Ricoh Gen 6 printheads, the 3.2m printer offers resolutions of up to 800x1200dpi with either CMYK or CMYK plus light C and M on a range of substrates. It’s said to be suitable for printing retail PoS/PoP, banners, posters and flags as well as outdoor advertising. It can also be used for interior decor and industrial purposes. Optional features include dual roll and mesh printing, and prices range from €50,000 – €75,000 depending on configuration.
The two flatbed are at the opposite ends of the size scale. The Shark II 3020 is a 3 x 2m flatbed aimed at industrial applications that can offer white and clear varnish in addition to doubled-up CMYK-plus-lights via Ricoh Gen 6 printheads. Capable of up to 216sqm/hr (in two-pass mode), it’s said to be suited to PoS/PoP displays, trade show displays and booth construction, including mesh and backlit materials. It costs between €150,000 and €200,000.
The Sword-Fish TS 6090 by comparison is able to handle items up to 600 x 900mm and 120mm thick, including cylindrical objects such as pens, cans or water bottles. It also offers CMYK+lights, white and varnish.
Charles Poot-Baudier, general manager at Magenta-Vision, commented, ‘We are delighted to announce that our family range of high quality, high speed printers is expanding. Our customers have always given us excellent feedback on the quality and ROI of our existing Teckwin range so we are very much looking forward to presenting these new great additions to the market.’
Magenta-Vision is currently selling direct but plans to add a UK distributor in the near future.
