Northern Flags has broadcast its support for both the England football team and sustainable printing by producing what it is claims is the largest environmentally sustainable banner in the country.
The business, based in Leeds, worked in partnership with its sister company FaberExposize UK to produce a 9 x 3m banner, made from 346 recycled plastic bottles to show its support for the Three Lions. The banner, which Northern Flags says is 100% recyclable, was printed and installed in advance of England’s crucial Euro 2020 semi final against Denmark.
Managing director Iain Clasper-Cotte commented, ‘Even as a Scot, I recognise how much it would mean to the country if England were to bring football home, so we’ve decided to show our support by printing the biggest eco friendly England banner in the country!
‘Environmental sustainability is a core value of our business but we’re seeing more and more how much it means to all of our customers too. In that respect, support for green products is like support for the England football team. Hopefully after football comes home, England can become the home of environmental sustainability!’
