EFI has introduced a pair of high performance Fiery-based digital front ends for the recently-launched Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7100 sheet-fed toner press.
The Fiery UC-319 and IC-318L boost Rip speed by 40 and 68% and can be used in HyperRip configurations with eight or two Rips respectively, to further boost overall print production. The IC-319 DFE is based on the high performance Fiery NX Premium hardware platform and is designed to handle complex image-heavy jobs or variable data work.
Both models run Fiery FS400 Pro software, which includes JobExpert automation to assess incoming PDF files and adjust print settings according to content and to optimise processing time. Finishing settings for Konica Minolta’s TU-510 inline trimming unit can be set from the Fiery software and both DFEs support EFI’s FieryEdge colour profiling technology to optimise colour reproduction and JobFlow Base prepress automation software for job preparation.
EFI’s ColorGuard Cloud-based colour verification service is also available to users of the new DFEs; this can drive automated verification of print to standards such as G7 in conjunction with Konica Minolta’s IQ-501 quality optimiser unit, where installed.
‘Fiery goes beyond being the fastest DFE by far in the marketplace, and we are pleased to be able to offer Konica Minolta AccurioPress users higher out-of-the-box print quality and more efficient intelligent automation with these new DFEs,’ said John Henze, vice president, sales and marketing, EFI Fiery. ‘Not only will print businesses benefit from enhanced productivity, our solutions will also give users the power to easily get colour right every time to make the most of their production printing investments.’
