Herbert Walkers, a company specialising in printing for greetings cards and packaging, has installed two Xerox Iridesse production presses at its Bradford headquarters.
The two presses, which have replaced Herbert Walkers’ previous Xerox iGen machines, will allow the company to offer six colour printing, including with metallic inks, in a single pass. Both machines will be used across the entire business, including for producing personalised stationery, greetings cards and packaging.
‘We have been using Xerox equipment for digital printing for more than a decade,’ said Herbert Walkers managing director Mike Lammas. ‘This upgrade reflects our focus on utilising the latest innovations in digital printing technology to ensure we continue offering the best results and broadest capabilities to our customers.
‘The new presses enable us to offer gold and silver toner, fluorescents and dry varnish options to our customers, which creates opportunities for impactful design with the consistency and accuracy our customers and their design partners expect from us.’
Nick Bridge, general manager production at Xerox added, ‘The Xerox Iridesse production presses take digital print quality and versatility to the next level, providing innovative businesses like Herbert Walkers the ability to go BeyondCMYK and offer a broader range of capabilities than ever before. We are delighted that Herbert Walkers is working with us as part of their equipment investment programme to offer a best-in-class digital printing service.’
