Canon UK & Ireland has added a third-party inline finishing solution to its portfolio, the SDD PTM7006 Press Trim Module booklet trimmer, in order to improve production efficiency for its cut-sheet toner press users.
Exclusive to Canon, the SDD PTM7006 can be attached inline to a Canon ImagePress C910 or VarioPrint 140 Series printer, allowing production of brochures and manuals in one operation without additional handling or finishing steps. Trimming the long edge of booklets up to 6mm thick, the module also flattens the spine to give a ‘superior, professional appearance’ and makes packing and stacking for distribution easier. There are also two further options to enhance booklet quality – a two-side trimmer for full-bleed applications and a square fold module to achieve a completely square spine.
