Canon has been confirmed as the Official Imaging Supporter for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The company says it plans to use its ‘imaging expertise’ to showcase the event, inspire people across the world and to nurture a new generation of sports fans.
Next year’s event, which will run from 28 July until 8 August, is expected to see more than 6000 athletes from 72 nations and territories descend on the Second City to compete in 19 sports and eight para-sports. Organisers are anticipating that more than one million spectators will attend and that the global TV audience will exceed 1.5 billion.
