Print and finishing distributor CJB is set to host a finishing open house at its Leicester premises across 12 – 13 October. The company will be launching three new machines to its local customer base.
The trio will comprise Duplo’s DF-1300L folder, the new Duplo DX-P550 A3 Duprinter and The 56, an advanced programmable guillotine, manufactured by Ideal but available via Duplo.
The new Duplo DX-P550 A3 Duprinter is described as ‘more akin to a press than a copier,’ and ‘designed to handle the long runs that certain sectors require and at faster speeds.’ The machine is able to print documents at 600dpi up to 200 pages per minute. It can handle a variety of paper types including fine, coarse, recycled, cards, and envelopes up to 110lb index.
The DF-1300L folder is Duplo’s ‘latest and most advanced suction folder.’ The company says it combines the compact footprint and ease-of-use automation of the existing range, together with air suction feeding essential for handling digital print. It adds that the DF-1300L complements the growth in features and print quality of entry level presses but that it is the ability to handle ‘Long A3’ format banner sheets that makes the product ‘unique in its class.’
Finally, The 56 is a programmable guillotine which features a large multi-touch screen which can cope with swipe gestures of the sort that people might use on phones or tablets. The guillotine is being marketed as ‘easy, safe and very efficient.’
Carl Boulter, the owner of CJB, explained the rationale behind the open days. ‘This event will showcase some new equipment not yet seen in the UK, and also enable customers to view automation that may take them to the next level in their business,’ he said. ‘It will be a time when we are to get face to face again and reintroduce that personal relationship that we pride ourselves on.
‘Over the past 14 years as a partner with Duplo, our relationship has grown from strength to strength. We have seen people come and go within Duplo, but our relationship has remained faithful and strong. We have worked together in order to build the brand in areas that Duplo themselves alone could not reach and have worked with Duplo in strengthening our relationship with our customers and building there companies with them. We pride ourselves on our honest personal approach and to supply Duplo equipment has strengthened that relationship with our customers.’
Alongside the three new products, CJB will also showcase a range of other Duplo products including the DC-618 automatic multi-finisher, DC-446 creaser, DBM-150 booklet maker, Multigraf CF375 creaser/folder, IDEAL 5560 and 4855 precision guillotines.
