Ricoh has released a new version of its customer communications creation software to simplify and speed up the creation of personalised data-based marketing and other communications.
FusionPro integrates with Adobe InDesign and Acrobat to enable flexible VDP document creation for both printed and digital delivery. According to Ricoh, the new release adds functionality to simplify the generation of the software’s rules-based ‘intelligent’ templates.
Specifically, this enables users to convert formatted static text in PDF files into variable frames, removing the need to import variable frames from InDesign; to add transparency effects to variable images and text; to add multiple data sources with simplified management of them; to manage variable frames and visibility more efficiently through grouped actions; and adds new template wizards that remove the need for JavaScript coding.
Craig Lewis, head of Enterprise Printing at Ricoh Europe, commented, ‘McKinsey research found that targeted communications can drive revenue growth of 10% to 30%. These newest FusionPro enhancements help businesses of all sizes easily create impactful targeted messaging by continuing to remove complexity and costs from the process.’
