Leicestershire-based Blink Print has kicked off 2022 by being awarded ISO 14001 and 9001 certifications. The former covers environmental management systems and the latter outlines requirements for quality management systems.
The certifications are the latest in a series of moves the company, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has taken to give itself the best chance of success in 2022.
Other highlights include the installation of an Agfa Jeti Tauro, the fourth time the company has invested in Agfa technology, and the appointment of both a senior business development manager and production manager.
Managing director Esther Butterfield commented on the installation. ‘We have a long relationship with Agfa, their print quality has always been best in the market for us. Its speed and quality has enabled us to produce larger runs to continue our expansion into the large volume cardboard PoS market.’
Ms Butterfield went on to stress that these moves, alongside the new ISO certifications, mean her company is in a good position to achieve its targeted growth over the next 12 months. ‘The road for our industry during the pandemic has been bumpy, to say the least,’ the MD said. ‘We’ve managed to successfully navigate the various challenges this year has thrown up and have become stronger as a result. This dual certification underlines the ambitious programme of investment that we have carried out over the last 12 months, and our belief within the company that the year ahead will be one of new opportunities and growth.
‘While many of the procedures were already in place, the auditing and certification process provided us with an opportunity to put every element of our business under microscopic scrutiny – sense-checking and street-testing our standards of service, competency, efficiency, quality and environmental standards that we have always prided ourselves on and which, for our clients, have become synonymous with the name blink.’
