FaberExposize UK and sister company Northern Flags have installed a new Jeti Tauro H3300 to help them expand into UV rigid and roll-to-roll products.
The twin companies, which are based in Leeds and together employ more than 700 people, specialise in just in time production of printed fabrics. Their new Jeti Tauro, which, at 453sm/hr is the fastest wide-format printer FaberExposize and Northern Flags have ever installed, will operate alongside the Agfa Avinci that arrived towards the end of 2021.
Faber Exposize says the new printer, which had to be delivered in four articulated lorries due to its size, will enable it to increase its in-house capabilities and cater to ‘the growing demand for just in time production that does not compromise customer expectations on quality or budget.’
Managing director Iain Clasper-Cotte commented, ‘This is the 10th wide-format printer we have invested in over the past six years and is undoubtedly the fastest. We already operated two Annapurna UV printers but as we have grown our Rigid and Vinyl business through Covid when the demand for fabric collapsed, we needed some extra firepower to keep up with our expansion and the demand for environmentally friendly substrates.’
