EFI has announced the availability of its EFI IQ suite of cloud and mobile applications for monitoring printer performance and consumables consumption with supported Vutek wide-format and Nozomi single-pass corrugated printers.
The cloud-based software, originally launched in 2020 for Fiery-driven printers, will be featured at Fespa in Berlin at the end of May. It monitors production and printer usage with device-level consumables tracking to reduce downtime and minimise running costs. The software can send alerts of printer stoppages to nominated individuals and provide detailed reports on usage, allowing comparisons to be made between printers and shifts to analyse trends or detect bottlenecks.
The EFI Go component of the suite allows remote notification and access to production performance, jobs in progress and other operational data from any mobile device.
Todd Zimmerman, vice president and general manager of Display Graphics, EFI Inkjet, said that with the data insights and notifications the software provides, ‘print business owners gain the Industry 4.0 advantage they need for more streamlined, efficient and profitable print business management.
‘The integrations we developed between EFI IQ and our Vutek and Wide Format inkjet printers elevate what our customers can achieve in operational efficiency and business strategy.’
