Sappi Europe and Elliott Baxter & Company have announced the rebranding of former’s wood-free coated fine paper. Sappi GalerieArt range is now rebranded as Sappi Magno, to bring it into line with the global brand family to which it belongs.

Magno is claimed to be the leading global brand for coated wood-free paper, offering ‘exceptional quality and consistency along with an unrivalled range of weights and finishes’, available worldwide. Elliott Baxter & Company is a family-owned, independent paper and board supplier in the UK and Ireland. It delivers around 220,000 tonnes of paper and board to customers across both countries every year.

As part of this new arrangement, Magno matt, gloss and silk papers will be stocked at strategic locations across the UK and Ireland in order to ensure rapid just-in-time availability for printers. The majority of the Magno range has also recently been certified for HP Indigo digital printing, so that printers who produce both offset and digital can rely on the same consistent sheet standard across print technologies.

Commenting on the name change and distribution boost, Sappi UK Managing Director Jonathan Hunt said, ‘This increased alignment in the long-standing partnership between EBB and Sappi in the UK and Ireland is a demonstration of our shared belief and investment in the sustainable future of print – and in the growth potential of key products when allied to excellent product availability.’

Speaking for EBB, Chris Sandwell, group sales and marketing director, said, ‘We see this rebranding as a logical evolution that will help consolidate our wide product range and Sappi Magno’s position as the leading coated paper worldwide.’
