Corrugated packaging manufacturer Durham Box has used a EFI Nozomi C18000 single pass digital press to deliver 250 FSDUs for fixings and fasteners wholesaler Owlett-Jaton.
The units, made from EB flute board, were die-cut, part assembled, wrapped in outers and provided with store instructions and a mop tray.
The company, which has been serving a broad segment of the corrugated market for over 30 years, is the first UK packaging manufacturer to purchase a Nozomi, EFI’s digital press line designed specifically for printing on corrugated board.
Business development director Andrew Smith said: ‘Customers like Owlett-Jaton recognise that digital is an attractive solution for them. As there are no printing plate costs, the displays have helped streamline their production processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency and save money.
‘For this particular job, we selected a EB flute board grade, which when primed and printed through the Nozomi gives an enhanced finish with a great stand-out presence.’
Martin Rundle, marketing manager at Owlett-Jaton, said, ‘We have been really impressed with Durham Box’s advanced display solutions and excellent customer service. Their digital print capabilities generate fantastic savings for us and look great.’
