Pureprint Group has created bespoke world cup boxes for the England football team.
The personalised boxes were presented to the 26 selected players chosen to represent the Three Lions on 21 November 2022. The boxes were presented to each player by Prince William, containing their shirt as well as information on the heritage of the shirt number and the players who previously wore the number, as well as a heartfelt message from manager Gareth Southgate.
From the brief supplied, Pureprint’s packaging designer first produced an unprinted and then printed sample on the chosen material and supplied a CAD drawing. On receipt of the digital artwork designed to fit the template, the company created 26 personalised boxes, one for each shirt number. Each box has a common tray and personalised outer and inner lids with the players shirt number.
Printed digitally on the HP Indigo press, the wraps were printed on Amadeus Silk from Denmaur Paper and covered in an anti-scuff laminate to ensure the boxes had longevity. The jacket outer wrap was foil blocked in a FoilCo silver, before the boxes were completed with two pairs of hidden magnets, for magnetic closure.
Mark Handford, CEO at Pureprint Group, said, ‘It was a pleasure to create something that holds so much significance for the Three Lions. We wish the team every success as they journey to Qatar and play in the final.’
