Ricoh has appointed Koji Miyao as its new president of the graphic communications business unit. He succeeded Sergio Kato on 1 January, 2023.
Mr Miyao has enjoyed many roles during his 22 years with Ricoh, most recently as general manager of the business management division at RGC. He joined Ricoh in 2000, where he was responsible for marketing high speed colour laser printers for overseas markets. Six years later, he joined Ricoh Americas Corporation as director of business development.
Later, he assumed a senior manager role as marketing director, where he was responsible for new business development and commercialisation of mobile, cloud printing, and medical printing devices.
After returning to Japan in 2014, he oversaw office printing, maintenance, and supply business strategy. In 2018 he was appointed chairman and president of Ricoh China.
Mr Miyao said, ‘It is a great honour to be appointed president of the Ricoh Graphic Communications Business Unit. I look forward to continuing our great work in developing services that contribute to the digital experience for commercial, industrial, and enterprise printing clients and brand owners.’
