Online trade provider of roller banners, pop-up displays and feather flags featherflagstrade.co.uk has added a Canon Colorado 1630UV-gel printer supplied by CMYUK to its printer fleet to increase capacity and speed turnaround on its various products.
The business, which was established in 2022, guarantees 48-hour turnaround for its feather flags and next-day delivery for roller banner orders received by 11:00 each morning. The Canon printer, which can be subsequently upgraded on-site, was purchased on the advice of various trade contacts and a swiftly-arranged demonstration at CMYUK.
Director Josh Candy praised the 111sqm/hr printer’s speed and colour accuracy, saying, ‘With this printer we have full confidence that you can put the artwork through and just press the Print button. I’ve not had one customer complain once about colour fidelity.’
The 1.6m printer’s dual-roll capability has also helped with productivity and ease of operation, according to Mr Candy, and has simplified the production of magnetic pop-up stands by removing a lamination stage that was previously necessary.
The scratch-resistance of prints produced using the UV-gel technology has also been a boon and the additional capacity allows for up to an extra 100 banners to produced each day; ‘Our printing is now done in the morning, and we don’t have to worry about the afternoon,’ commented Mr Candy.
