Paragon has appointed Jim Hartshorne as its new chief executive officer in the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg.
Mr Hartshorne will report to his predecessor Jeremy Walters, who has been promoted to CEO of Paragon across the four regions in which the company operates: Belgium and the Netherlands; DACH and CEE; Western Europe; and the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg.
Mr Hartshorne joins Paragon following more than 15 years at DHL Supply Chain, where he was most recently the managing director for the retail and consumer sectors, as well as a UKI board member. In his new role, Mr Hartshorne will oversee the growth and diversification of the company across all seven of the region’s business lines.
Mr Walters commented on the new appointment, ‘Jim has a great supply chain management background, and while at DHL he steered the business through the challenges of the pandemic and delivered transformational projects.’ He continued, ‘I look forward to working together with Jim and the other Paragon regional CEOs as we seek to get closer to our clients and provide them with exceptional business services.’
Mr Hartshorne spoke about his new role, ‘Paragon’s emphasis on understanding both its people and clients really stood out to me, as I fully believe in the mantra that if you look after your people, business performance will look after itself. […] As I get to know our clients and staff personally, my aim is to work with them to show the industry that Paragon is a leader and innovator across our full range of services, as well as the business lines it’s traditionally known for.’
