Konica Minolta has introduced the AccurioPress 7136 Series, a range of three monochrome toner presses aimed at mid-sized commercial printers and educational CRDs.
Successor to the AccurioPress 6136 series, the new range consists of three models: AccurioPress 7136, AccurioPress 7136P and AccurioPress 7120, all of which are said to enhance job capacity, reliability and flexibility. It can handle monthly peak volumes of up to 3.24 million A4 pages while offering what KM says is the highest media flexibility in its class, enabled by an intelligent paper catalogue and optional envelope fuser, covering media that includes coated and embossed paper from 40 to 350gsm.
High quality output without skilled expertise is enabled by 220 pre-uploaded paper profiles which help reduce errors and improve print quality. This can be further complemented by the optional IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimiser, which delivers automatic and real-time density and registration adjustment and creates printer profiles.
There are some 728 different finishing configuration possibilities, including Konica Minolta’s own-developed finishing such as the TU-510 inline trimming unit, which can slit and trim from small business cards to SRA3 sheets. The company also has established partnerships with finishing specialists such as GBC and Plockmatic.
Software integration with Konica Minolta’s AccurioPro Flux and other workflows, including those from third parties, is enabled by an open API. Accounting, authentication, or scan routing applications such as YSoft Safe Q and Nuance eCopy Sharescan are also supported.
Malcolm Smith, category manager – professional print at Konica Minolta UK, commented, ‘Konica Minolta continues its pioneering industry approach and drive to ignite new possibilities for customers with this latest evolution of our next generation series of monochrome products. Built upon the successful AccurioPress 6136 series, it is focused on delivering high performance print quality, production speeds, and application versatility that responds to evermore demanding market needs.
‘Efficient operation that minimises waste and maximises production times enables commercial printers and CRDs to ensure they are running as smoothly and profitably as possible. IQ-501 aids consistent production of perfect print while intelligent workflows can be effortlessly created. The print production process is then completed responsively by a versatile choice of high-quality finishing equipment.’
