Slough-based X1 Limited, fulfilment and marketing company, have purchased and installed a new PFi Blade B2 digital cutting table from Duplo as part of its recent endeavour to bring its large format printing and finishing in-house.
George Eckford, managing director of X1 Limited said the installation is a significant transition for the company as it takes a step towards expanding its large format capabilities – no longer needing to outsource these tasks. By having this capability themselves, X1 benefits from having control over its production and costs, now able to enhance the quality of service it provides to its customers, added Mr Eckford.
Described as a ‘perfect fit’ by Mr Eckford, the PFi Blade B2 comes with tools designed to process various types of substrates and thicknesses. Utilising the PFi Blade Connect software, the triple tooling head follows the lines instructed on the cutting file to finish applications into any shape. The machine ticks all the right boxes in terms of both performance and practicality, he stated.
Another standout feature according to Mr Eckford is the machine’s ease of use. An installation completed within 30 minutes; he described the set-up as seamless. This, combined with Duplo’s level of service, has made the transition effortless.
With a strategy in place, X1 aims to increase both revenue and its client base over the next 12 months. This growth plan includes the acquisition of two small businesses and significant investment in new equipment.
